Wi-Fi Adafruit LED Show

Blinded by the Lights

A separate task of my senior design project required designing a remote control system that could toggle different LED light shows on the Omnidirectional Platform. These lights can change through any color in the span of 9 nanoseconds.

Controlling these lights required the use of 2.4GHz tranceivers which were then fed in to microcontrollers. This involved a collaborative effort with a computer engineering student, as well as a textiles student at the University of Idaho.

The final product can be seen in action below, toggling through all of the different modes that would later be a show on the platform. The schematic above is one that I designed using LTspice to show the respective components of the system and how the wiring needed to be accomplished.
